Hengjia is meticulous in raw material selection, using industrial alumina (γ - Al₂O₃) and high-temperature alumina (α - Al₂O₃). To ensure the raw materials reach optimal conditions, precise ball milling techniques are employed. During the ball milling process, particle size is strictly controlled to achieve a D50 of 3 - 10μm, ensuring a reasonable particle size distribution. This precise control serves as a detailed blueprint for the subsequent production of high-quality plate-like corundum, laying a solid foundation. In the pelletizing and drying processes, Hengjia employs a unique two-step pelletizing method. The first step involves forming small balls of 5 - 8mm into larger balls of 20 - 25mm through specific processes, adding only water during pelletizing and strictly controlling the introduction of other substances to ensure the purity and stability of the pellets. The second step is the drying phase, utilizing residual heat of 200 - 500℃ and hot air furnaces to dry, precisely controlling moisture content to ≤1%. This precise temperature control and moisture management imbue the product with a stable "character," ensuring stability and consistency in subsequent use.
